About Me

This is me! I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.A. in journalism from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication and minors in studio art and Italian and a certificate of entrepreneurship.

In my time as an undergraduate, I worked as a staff photojournalist for the Red & Black and the Oglethorpe Echo newspapers and in freelance positions for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Flagpole Magazine, Athens Banner-Herald, and other organizations.

I fell in love with photography as a kid and I haven’t put down my camera since. Photography, to me, is all about finding new perspectives and presenting the world in unfamiliar ways. I think this curiosity and desire to explore, coupled with my love for storytelling, is what led to my current path in journalism.

In my editorial experience, I have gravitated towards beats in sustainability, environment, and solutions journalism. As evident by the variety of my undergraduate studies, my curiosity knows no bounds. I am just as excited to report on local town hall meetings and farmer’s markets as I am to tell stories in foreign countries and explore innovative solutions to our most pressing problems.
